Evenings such as
book launches and new releases are crazy. Lots of noise and everybody is
talking. Seems like most people who attend book launches are people who talk a
lot. But then again, all they talk about is books, books and more books. It
sometimes goes like this “have you read; you should read; any news on that
book” and so it goes on and on and on.
I think the most
wonderful part of a physical bookstore is the magic of picking a book by
the cover, or spending whole days wandering in a bookstore.
A bookstore ranges from several hundred to several hundred
thousands of titles. Trading can be done through a physical bookstore or an
internet store. However, to keep a bookstore going is expensive work. There's
rent for the shop-site, capital to buy books, bills like power, water and staff
to maintain the business operations. So
this means that you're always going to find that books are more expensive than
buying online.
Below is a comparison graph
of printed books vs. e-books done by a research centre based in the USA.
According to Wikipedia,
“bookselling is the commercial trading of books, the retail and
distribution end of the publishing process. People who engage in bookselling are
called booksellers or bookmen.
And
An E book
(Electronic book) is a book-length publication in digital form,
consisting of text, images, or both, and produced on, published through, and
readable on computers or other electronic devices. ”
This for me is very
interesting and I will be following up on this.
